LEADERSHIP IN A DIGITAL AGE #BRANSONCENTRE SUMMIT

Branson Centre Caribbean will be hosting its first-ever virtual summit Leadership in a Digital Age during Global Entrepreneurship Week on November 17 – 18. Given the socio-economic uncertainty brought on by the coronavirus pandemic, the event aims to bolster the entrepreneurial ecosystem through online education.

Different skills and mindsets are required for business leaders to thrive in this ever-changing digital landscape. “Leadership in a Digital Age is a crash course on leadership, branding, and marketing for SMEs,” said Branson Centre’s CEO, Lauri-Ann Ainsworth. “We tapped into our network of global experts to share empowering stories and practical steps that new and established entrepreneurs can use to maximize business growth in the digital world.”

Branson Centre shifted its focus from business acceleration to meet the immediate needs of entrepreneurs grappling with the effects of COVID-19. This includes delivering 100% online training related to recovery planning and management. The move has resulted in a 95% satisfaction rate. “Since we have had so much positive feedback from our public webinars and online programme, taking our signature event online was a no brainer,” said Ainsworth.

Through a mix of time-zone friendly on-demand webinars and live panel discussions, the event boasts a diverse lineup of experts and digital business owners from across the Caribbean, Canada, and the United States. This includes keynote conversations with Adam G. Force, founder of the multi-media digital brand Change Creator, as well as Jamaican-born podcast maverick Nicaila Matthews Okome of Side Hustle Pro.

Joanna Banks, Senior VP – New Business Development & Strategy – PANJAM

“PANJAM is excited to partner with Branson Centre for this exciting digital experience”, said Joanna Banks, PANJAM’s senior vice president of new business development and strategy. “Now more than ever, Caribbean entrepreneurs need resources to navigate the digital landscape and lead teams effectively as the world adjusts to this new normal,” she continued.
