Jordon Freeman enjoys finding solutions to problems using his background in science. A biotechnology major at the University of the West Indies, Jordon is keenly aware of the detrimental effects of plastic on our environment, and he wanted to put his knowledge to work in doing something about it.
JA Bio Plastics offers a natural, degradable and compactable alternative to single-use plastic. Unlike the popular petroleum plastic that slowly degrades over an average of a thousand years, the proposed biodregrable solution from Ja Bio Plastics takes a maximum of six months to fully decompose.
Jordan hopes his newly-created business will have a profound impact on the reduction of plastic pollution both on land and in our oceans.
