Investment & Administration Manager

Position Summary

To lead the implementation of service delivery to entrepreneurs. This role supports the growth and development of entrepreneurs by coordinating their training, funding, governance and other business support opportunities. The Investment & Administration Manager manages programme stakeholders, events, technology and data. This includes programme monitoring, evaluation and reporting (MER) to ensure alignment of activities to target outcomes. The Investment & Administration Manager serves as the foundation for the BCoEC accelerator programme, ensuring our entrepreneur impact is achieved and that the company mission is accomplished. This role reports to the Entrepreneur Programme Director (EPD) and has a regional remit.

Key Responsibilities
Key responsibilities of the Investment & Administration Manager will include, but are not limited to:

Programme Administration

  • Work closely with the Entrepreneur Programme Director (EPD) to create and execute an
    implementation strategy for the accelerator programme involving training, finance and
    mentorship initiatives.
  • Support the development of agreements and partnerships with partners, including
    professional service providers, to further the program and ultimately BCoEC entrepreneurs
    in a positive way.
  • Manage the recruitment, training, matching, monitoring, evaluation and reporting for
    volunteers and entrepreneurs in the mentorship programme on a quarterly basis.
  • Ensure that reporting and other requirements from verified partner institutions are met by
    entrepreneurs and the Centre. Follow-up, coach and make recommendations to
    entrepreneurs who have fallen into delinquency as needed.
  • Liaise with funding partners to ensure that disbursements, collections and reporting are
    completed in a timely manner.
  • Track entrepreneurs use of funds through check-in calls, site visits and monitoring financial
    statements, and make recommendations where appropriate.

Programme Support

  • Provide support to the Programme Development Manager by planning and coordinating
    training events and activities, and assisting with agreements, presentations and other
    materials as required.
  •  Build and maintain positive relations with entrepreneurs, volunteers and other
    stakeholders.
  • Provide ongoing support to the entrepreneur recruitment process which includes vetting
    applications, administering psychometric tests, facilitating interviews, collecting and
    storing data and providing input during review sessions.
  • Provide support to the investment process by conducting financial analyses of our
    entrepreneurs’ businesses.
  • Represent the Centre at public events as needed

Data Collection and Analysis

  • Actively participate in the continuous improvement of the systems necessary for
    relationship management (e.g. CRM)
  • Record relevant interactions with the entrepreneurs and volunteers in CRM.
  • Lead data collection, evaluation, reporting and analysis.

  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office – particularly Excel and Powerpoint
  • Proficiency with cloud-based tools such as Google Apps and Salesforce strongly preferred
  • Business degree preferred
  • Experience in credit adjudication or business analysis preferred
