Elevate Media Group’s dynamic duo

Elevate Media Group is guided by Kemal Lawrence and Rolando Prendergast — progressive creative thinkers with over 10 years of experience in the media advertising field.

Elevate is a full-service creative agency with a strong digital focus. Kemal and Rolando’s collaborative strategy and individual creativity are used to deliver advertising across traditional media to create engaging digital experiences. We recently had a chat to get to know more about Elevate and the dynamic duo who joined Branson Centre’s scaleup accelerator programme.

Tell us about your business:

The landscape of what is required from a creative agency has certainly changed as we progress further into the digital age.  Gone are the days where a simple roll out of print, television and radio advertisements would be enough to service a full campaign. Present day consumers receive their information in far more varied ways and in order to keep up, marketers have to be willing to explore new trends and capitalize on new technologies.

With Elevate Media Group it is our plan is to deliver a multisensory advertising experience far greater than the ones traditionally offered by the typical agency.

Our willingness to go against the grain and deliver content outside of the proverbial box sets us apart from other agencies. Marketing to an increasingly digital audience happens to be Elevate’s specialty as we explore all the newer technologies available in order to most effectively deliver a brand’s message. Creatively!

How did you hear about the Branson Centre and why did you decide to join its accelerator programme?

We have been seeing articles and social media content for some time with past participants and their success stories. We were recommended to the programme by a client who thought we were not taking full advantage of our creative edge in the industry. We were happy to learn that you were now offering a scaleup programme and applied immediately.

By the end of the programme, we hope to learn how to:

  • organize and streamline our daily operations to increase efficiency
  • project and plan for the future of the business
  • prepare the business for investment and expansion

What is the most important thing that running a business has taught you?

We cannot do everything ourselves. Putting the right people in place is key to growth. Without a strong support system in place, the business will eventually fall apart despite your best efforts. It is also important to keep the team motivated.

What does the future hold for your business?

We consider ourselves partners with all our clients. We do everything we can to help their businesses grow. Increased trade helps to boost the economy and we proudly play our part. In the immediate future, we plan for stability and more efficiency. Shortly after, we hope to be prepared to form better relationships with our colleagues and expand into other countries in the region.
